In an original Consulat production, Mathieu Lévesque presents his first short film Paysages.
To evoke the mystery and beauty of nature, Mathieu and his team have recreated a miniature studio environment where they manipulate organic and synthetic ingredients.
Evolve until Extinction. Paysages is a contemplative and immersive work, a meditation on the fusion of materials that represent the cycle of nature. Evolve to the point of destruction: a fatalistic cycle repeated by all civilizations. Humans manipulate, alter and change their environment – often unconsciously, with no long-term vision. It is an observation that highlights the inevitability of nature taking over. Thanks to a variety of techniques and elaborate shots, each frame plunges us directly into these micro universes, giving us the impression of being there.
